What you need to know

Use DK yarn to knit this Cable Square Motif by Nicola Valiji and knit your squares together to create a cosy blanket.

Wow, this cable design really brings the wow-factor, but it's actually really simple to knit. It's great for beginner knitters who are ready to try something a little more intermediate. This pattern is part of our Alpine Lap Blanket project. It includes six different squares made using a variety of stitch techniques, and there’s something for all skill levels. If you don’t fancy making a blanket, assemble a few of your favourite squares into a cushion cover or even a patch pocket on a cardi - go on, get creative!
